Our agency oversees a local AmeriCorps project where members are placed in various nonprofit agencies, schools, or colleges in our community. These members serve specified terms during the
year, or for a summer of service term. Each member also earns a bi-weekly living allowance and
an education award that can be used toward college tuition books or fees, through our partnership
with Literacy Volunteers of Illinois. AmeriCorps members help strengthen, meet needs, and help communities tackle their toughest challenges.
